Platform quality, execution speed, instrument range, leverage options, and order type availability. Weighted at 40% of total score.

How Scores Are Calculated

Regulatory Status Verification

We verify each broker's regulatory licenses directly with the issuing authority. We check the tier of regulation (Tier 1: FCA, ASIC, FINRA, SEC; Tier 2: CySEC, FSCA; Tier 3: offshore), client fund segregation policies, and investor compensation schemes.

Cost Analysis

We open live demo and real accounts to record actual spreads, commissions, and fees across a standardized set of instruments and trading volumes. We also review overnight financing rates, withdrawal fees, and inactivity charges.

Trading Conditions Evaluation

We assess platform quality, order execution speed, available instruments (across forex, indices, commodities, stocks, ETFs, and crypto), leverage tiers, and the range of order types supported.

Weighted Scoring & Peer Benchmarking

Each criterion is scored 1–10 and weighted according to our published weighting model. Final scores are benchmarked against the full universe of assessed brokers to ensure calibration consistency.

Quarterly Review

All scores are reviewed on a quarterly schedule. Significant regulatory changes, enforcement actions, or major product updates trigger immediate out-of-cycle reviews. Review dates are shown on each broker's entry.
